Project Description: I came up with the idea to create a project that will be beneficial for the environment and the community, by warning of strong winds in time. At the same time, we will reduce the consumption of electricity and we will reduce the use of fossil fuels. Because wind is still the largest source of renewable energy in the world, and windmills are very affordable, efficient and not harmful to the environment and the community.
When the wind starts to blow, the windmill will start to turn, at that time the DC motor will start to produce AC amperage and AC voltage, but unfortunately we did not have a device that would produce the wind, so we improvised using a battery that produces DC amperage and AC voltage. The difference between DC voltage and AC voltage is DC voltage is a current whose voltage is always constant and electricity flows in a certain direction. In contrast, AC voltage is whose voltage periodically changes from positive to negative and from negative to positive, and the direction of the current also periodically changes in accordingly. We will connect four crocodile clips to the battery that will provide voltage to the windmill and the breadboard. There are two sensors on the breadboard and we also connected the arduino. One of the sensors is a voltage sensor that measures the voltage from 0-25 V, it can be directly connected to breadboard, while the amperage sensor, which has 20 Amps, must be connected to a device that consumes electricity, in this case, a school light. We can track that information on LCD screen 16x2. Also if we go voltage times amperage we will get watt which will also be shown on the LCD screen. If the voltage is below 6 V then the green diode will be activated and will send a message to the terminal "wind speed is normal everything is fine". If it is above 6V then the yellow diode will be activated and will send a message to the terminal "the wind speed has reached medium speed, please be ready to evacuate!!". If the voltage is above 9V, an alarm is activated in the DABBLE application and that alarm warns the school that they should go to a safer location. All this information will be sent by the bluetooth transmitter to the DABBLE application. And we will use a multimeter to see how precisely our voltage and amperage sensors are working.
Also, what I want to say is that I made my project from recycled materials such as: plastic, cardboard, wood and thus saved my environment and our future. Because with this process, we make our country a better place, and at the same time we maintain the environment.
Wind energy could be a big part of humanity's solution once fossil fuel supplies are completely depleted.
