Project Description: Not being able to see the stars does not mean that you cannot reach for them, and there is no better way to thank god for your sight than by giving a helping hand to someone in the dark. “The Helping Hand” is an innovatively designed stick made for visually disabled people for improved navigation. Visually impaired persons have difficulty to interact and feel their environment. Physical movement is a challenge for them because it can become tricky to distinguish obstacles appearing in front of them, and they are unable to move from one place to another with ease. The idea is to offer a sense of vision by providing information and awareness about their surroundings and the objects around them.
