Project Description: Project Description/ Since many of us don’t know the types of plants, how to grow them, or when to plant each plant, and also some types of plants can be very damaging to household networks and infrastructure if grown indoors. As happened to us in our backyard, we planted a Carob tree, not knowing the harm it could cause, which led to damage to the soil and water pipes. That’s why I thought of taking advantage of artificial intelligence to develop a special program to teach people how to garden in their backyards and which plants are beneficial to them.
The project uses computer vision technology to identify types of plants from seeds or stems, giving the name of the plant, how to grow it, the appropriate soil, appropriate planting dates, and if the program finds the plant unsuitable for gardening in the backyard, it will give us a warning and advice not to grow it. In addition, the program suggests maps for designing home gardens, different types of flowers, and in what month of the year they can be successfully grown
