Project Details

Project Description: Officials in the UAE have urged families to be vigilant about children's safety due to numerous tragic incidents involving children who have fallen from balconies, terraces, and into swimming pools while at home. As a result, I developed my project SenseKid to improve children's safety at home. SenseKid is a sensor that detects when children are alone in any environment and can be installed in any location, including a balcony, terrace, or swimming pool. The sensor recognizes children by assessing their height and, if they are not accompanied by an adult, starts an alarm, sends a message to the parent's phone, and informs the children to return inside.
