Exam Room Monitoring to Prevent Cheating among Students
Exam Room Monitoring to Prevent Cheating among Students
Team: Lamar Mohammed
Project Details
Project Description: The project idea is to monitor students in exam rooms in order to prevent cheating (which is not acceptable from a legal and ethical standpoint, as well as being theft of the efforts of distinguished students). This is done by installing surveillance cameras in the exam room, which are linked to an artificial intelligence-based program that can recognize student faces and analyze them through their expressions, such as eye movements, eyebrows, mouth and nose. The program will detect suspicious movements such as fear or anxiety and alert the supervising professor.
Note: The original idea for the project was to monitor face and eye movements (to be more precise) in order to be able to apply it in practice in university exam rooms, but due to the difficulty of obtaining the necessary permits, since students are still beginners, it was decided to rely on the expressions of the face (such as fear and sadness).
