Project Description: My project is a dollar bill scanner that detects counterfeit bills. I had this idea when I was talking to my mom about the project and she works in fraud so she said to make a dollar bill scanner. I made this by first setting the code to turn on the camera on the scanner(but in my case a computer). Next there will be a countdown to when the picture is taken by the scanner with your dollar bill in front of it. Next the picture that was taken will be used and read by the code and when it is read it will go into a variable called test dollar bill. After the result of the code reading the letter that the Federal Bank put on it and the number placed around the sides it will determine if the letter and the number given by the bank are real. If they are real a green screen will appear that says “clean” and if it is counterfeit a red screen will appear saying “counterfeit”.
