Pressure Sensor Detector
Driving a vehicle at high speeds, under-inflation, using tyres beyond the tread limit and driving in sweaty summers are some of the reasons that heat tyres both from the inside as well as outside and lead to tyre bursting. A tyre burst is one of the major causes of high-speed accidents and consequent road deaths. We designed a simulation where a pressure sensor is embedded into tyres. When the pressure decreases to a particular level, sensors inform car tyre repair service stations.
AI FARMERS
Farmers need to deal with many problems, including how to: Cope with climate change, soil erosion and biodiversity loss. We developed an AI system to improve the overall harvest quality and accuracy. AI technology helps in detecting diseases in plants, pests and poor nutrition of farms. This AI system can plant seeds and irrigates them. It checks the water content of the soil and weather conditions before planting the seeds. It can irrigate without farmer support.
GREENSTAR RECYCLE
Heaps of garbage, mainly plastic waste, are dumped on the road in many residential areas and are not removed for many weeks. Our project is a “Garbage Collector Electric Car” specifically designed for collecting and disposing of garbage in a community or neighborhood. The electric car is used to reduce emissions and pollution. The vehicle is equipped with a mechanism for picking up and compressing trash and has a designated route for collection. The trash will be converted into a reusable product.
Auto-Powered School Canteen Trolley
To encourage students to make healthy food choices and inculcate good eating habits, in Amity School Dubai Canteen, we provide nutritious snacks, beverages and meals. A trolley service is provided in the KG corridors and the corridors for T’a’sees I and II during the break. We have designed an auto-powered school canteen trolley using WeDo that is equipped with a motor allowing it to move around autonomously. The use of an auto-powered trolley can be seen as an innovative solution to bring food to the students and staff in a more efficient and safe way.
Fire Flys
Fire safety reduces the risk of injury and building damage that fires can cause. Developing and implementing fire safety protocols is crucial to everyone safety that may be in the building during a fire emergency. Fire rescue systems in schools typically include a combination of fire alarms, fire extinguishers, sprinklers, and emergency evacuation plans. We developed an automated fire rescue system using face detection that potentially uses cameras and facial recognition technology to track the presence. In the event of a fire, the system could quickly identify who is still inside the building and alert the appropriate emergency response teams.
Amity Genie
Old age is a unique life phase characterized by various health, cognitive, emotional, social, and financial changes. Using pictoblox and AI, we have designed a gesture-controlled robot for the elderly that can be controlled using hand gestures or body movements, rather than through buttons or remote control. These types of robots can be particularly useful for elderly individuals who may have difficulties such as mobility issues. The robot is programmed to respond to specific gestures, such as a wave of the hand to turn on a light or head movements to call for assistance.
AI Surveillance System in Schools
Tracking student attendance helps teachers keep track of student absenteeism and punctuality. Bullying is one of the negative phenomena among school students that constitutes a serious threat to the health and safety of bullies, victims and observers. Our school allow students to bring their personal iPad (BYOD) to school on designated days and need to keep track of whether students are bringing devices on other days. We designed an AI-powered surveillance system using Pictoblox and Wedo that can be used in schools to automate attendance, track and analyze student behaviour and alert authorities and keep track of BYOD.
RETROBOT
How the world eats is dramatically changing. Since pandemic–related lockdowns started, the growing food delivery business has spiked to new heights. The majority of vehicles used for food delivery exhaust emissions in form of poisonous gases. Exposure to these excessive gases can produce a variety of health effects. In our project using ‘WEDO’ we have designed a robot that delivers food and thereby reduces the emission of poisonous gases that are caused by two-wheelers.
Amity Edutech Mobile School
A large portion of rural students must deal with a lack of access to quality reading materials. We designed a mobile tutor using WeDo to carry hand-out books to children who do not have any facilities to get educated. The Mobile Tutor will be placed on both sides of the carriage. The sensors on the carriage sense whether there are books in the carriage and immediately refill if it is empty. The van is driven by Solar Power and Windmills.
LOOK – STOP AND GO – A FRIENDLY TRAFFIC GUIDE
Traffic congestion and pollution are the challenges faced by traditional traffic systems. Traffic policemen, due to the nature of their job and working atmosphere, are more prone to develop chronic diseases. We designed an AI system to replicate traffic detection and avoid crashing into incoming cars. You need to navigate the car in a way that the car does not crash and it reaches the main goal. Our project can improve road traffic and safety. An automatic traffic police are deployed to ensure safety.
