Project Details

Project Description: The idea of the project depends on the automatic control of the opening and closing of railway crossing barriers, away from human errors, in order to prevent and reduce train accidents. The idea of the device depends on a switch that is installed in the railway line at a certain distance before and after the barriers, and this switch needs a large weight like a train to prevent any false signals caused by anything other than the train. When the train approaches a certain distance, the barriers are closed automatically with a light alert to stop passing cars before closing the barriers and the train passes safely without any incidents. The barriers open again after the train has passed a certain distance. The barriers are controlled by a servo motor and for the light signals we used RGB LED.
