Project Details

Project Description: Fire safety reduces the risk of injury and building damage that fires can cause. Developing and implementing fire safety protocols is crucial to everyone safety that may be in the building during a fire emergency. Fire rescue systems in schools typically include a combination of fire alarms, fire extinguishers, sprinklers, and emergency evacuation plans. We developed an automated fire rescue system using face detection that potentially uses cameras and facial recognition technology to track the presence. In the event of a fire, the system could quickly identify who is still inside the building and alert the appropriate emergency response teams.
